PPEs (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT) have become part of the “New Normal” for us. A trip to the store usually entails both a grocery list and a checklist: hand sanitizer, wipes, mask…..”check” and we are ready to go. While I might be protected from the virus, often I find I’m not prepared for the stress, anxiety, and worry that accompanies the virus. I’m so grateful the Lord gives us spiritual PPEs to protect our heart and those around us:
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”
